What the app reads from your store
Purchase orders, the transfers and shipments linked to them, product and variant titles, SKUs, prices, weights, cost per item and on-hand stock. It uses these to calculate costs and shows them to you. Apart from the records below, this data isn't stored.
What the app stores
- Your store's address and the access tokens Shopify issues for it.
- Bills, exchange rates and adjustments you enter.
- A record of each cost update: purchase order number, supplier name, variant titles, SKUs, inventory item IDs, cost before and after, quantities, and times.
- The numeric Shopify ID of the staff member who confirmed an update or undo. No staff names or email addresses.
Customer data
The app doesn't request, read or store orders, customers or any other personal data about your customers.
Where it is stored
On Cloudflare (Workers and D1), which processes the data on our behalf. Data is sent over encrypted connections and is not sold or shared with anyone else.
How long it is kept
Cost history stays while the app is installed, so updates can be undone and audited. After you uninstall, access tokens are deleted at once. Shopify then asks us to remove the store's data, usually within 48 hours, and everything listed above is deleted when that request arrives. If the app looks installed on your store when the request arrives, for example because you reinstalled it, the data stays for now. Opening the app keeps it. If you don't open the app again, it's deleted within 25 days of the request.
Your rights
You can export your cost history as a CSV file from the app at any time, and ask for access, correction or deletion by email. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
